Uniform and Equipment.

On these pages we will illustrate what the men of the Yeomanry wore and what they were issued with.
The territorial cavalry were equipped in the same manner as the regular cavalry. Unlike his counterpart in the infantry, the cavalry trooper didn't need to carry all of his personal effects about his person. Kit and equipment was loaded onto his saddle. This meant that while the trooper could function without his horse, he was very lightly equipped-carrying little more than his rifle and spare ammunition. Partnered with his horse however, he became part of something a lot more formidable.
